ABOUT

Welcome to Five Rivers Arts Alliance!

Five Rivers Arts Alliance was founded in 1998 as Brunswick Area Arts & Cultural Aliiance. In 2006 we changed our name to Five Rivers Arts Alliance in an effort to define our growing region in an inclusive, fluid way.  Leilani Law workshop at the Family Arts Festival

Our mission is to strenghten communities through the arts, by increasing awareness, knowledge, education, appreciation, participation, and support for the arts and other cultural activities.

Five Rivers refer to the Kennebec, Androscoggin, Cathance, New Meadows and Sheepscot Rivers that encompass our area. We chose the symbol of flowing rivers to represent our goal of connecting arts, culture and community.  Arts Alliance represents the network of people, organizations, municipalities and businesses that care about arts, culture and heritage.

Five Rivers Arts Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends upon community support. ArtWalk Poster

Memberships, contributions, business sponsorships, foundation and government grants and event fees support our programs. Your membership, donation, and volunteer time can make a difference in this organization and in our community life.
