Spindleworks is a nonprofit art center for adults with disabilities serving more than 35 active artists.

Marlene Oliver
Marlene has served as President of the Friends of the Topsham Public
Library and is a long-time member and volunteer for the Family Arts
Festival and Five Rivers Arts Alliance.
Susan Perrine
Susan weaves and constructs textiles at her Woolwich studio.
Bob Santerre
Co-Owner, Arrowsic Island Pottery
Bob has a Ph.D in Zoology and worked as a senior research biochemist
for Eli Lilly. In the 1990s he studied ceramics. He and his wife own
and operate Arrowsic Island Pottery and travel widely to show and sell
their work.

Tilton
Dave is retired; he is building an energy-efficient home in Richmond
and previously worked as part-time Community and Economic Development
Specialist for the Town of Richmond.

Director of Public Policy and Communication at Maine Health Access Foundation.
Amanda Similien
Specialist, Brunswick Economic Development Office.

Harriet served as E.D of Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance and
Arts Are Elementary. Other projects include the 1996 Artist Congress
in Portland and the E.A. Robinson Poetry Festival in Gardiner, Maine.
Mary Vargo, Bowdoin College Community Fellow,
Spring 2006
Mary graduated from Bowdoin in May 2006. During her internship she began
updating our directory of artists, worked on Creative Economy Forums
and wrote for the newsletter.
Debbie Theodore, Bowdoin College Community
Fellow, Summer 2006
Debbie will be a junior at Bowdoin in the fall of 2006. At Five Rivers,
she collected information about local artists and helped establish
the new identity of the organization at events such as Farmers’ markets
and Heritage Days.
Sara Griffin, Bowdoin College Community Fellow, Summer 2007: Sara will be a junior at Bowdoin in the fall of 2007. In her time at Five Rivers she wrote and edited for Artscape, updated and reorganized the website, continued Mary and Debbie's work on the directory, and made the office beautiful.
